Governor, CM extend Ugadi greetings

BANGALORE APRIL 1. The Governor, T.N.Chaturvedi, and the Chief Minister, S.M.Krishna, have extended greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Ugadi on Wednesday.

In his message, Mr. Chaturvedi said: "May the Swabhanu Samvatsara usher in cheer, peace, prosperity, and progress."

Mr. Krishna in his message said: "Ugadi symbolises the presence of bitter and sweet in life. Let us take life in our stride and make it tolerant as well as beautiful by accepting sorrow and happiness with sanity."

The Chairman of the Legislative Council, B.L.Shankar, the KPCC President, B.Janardhana Poojary, the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, Jagadish Shettar, the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, D.H. Shankaramurthy, the ministers, Mallikarjun Kharge, Dharam Singh, A.B.Maalakaraddy, T.John, and the MLCs, Vimala Gowda and Saleem Ahmed have also greeted the people on the occasion.
