Loose petrol

Sir, — Despite the prohibition on sale of loose petrol, bunks across the country are freely selling it in containers. If loose sale is inevitable, at least the purchasers' identity should be properly recorded by demanding that they produce a copy of the RC book or driving licence to minimise misuse of the fuel by anti-social elements.
