The decision to recognise the institute was taken at a Syndicate meeting held on the campus on Friday. A board of studies on archaeology and museology will be established by Cusat. Cusat has also decided to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kursk State Technical University, Russia and Polarizone Technologies, Malaysia, for academic exchange and research programme. Cusat and Kursk Technical University will publish joint research papers and exchange teachers and students as part of the agreement. Both the universities will work together in organising international scientific conferences. Cusat and Kursk University will work on international grants and impart training to post-graduate students in research programmes. The term of the agreement is five years. Zubarev Evgeny Kuzhmich, Head of Foreign Students Department, Kursk State Technical University, had held discussions with Cusat officials on January 31. Kursk University offers training in areas like Civil Engineering, Textile technology, Designing computers, Networks and software, Electrical and Biomedical engineering, Economics and Law.
