World Cup replica
With cricket fever reaching its crescendo, Iraq war notwithstanding, the people are cheering the Indian cricket team for the decisive match in their own unique way.
Keeping up with the bandwagon, Raju Dhanuk and his father Fakire, the famous Hindu Tazia makers of Lucknow, have created a 10-feet high replica of the `World Cup' in Lucknow. It took them ten days to create the replica, using waste paper as raw material in preparing the `World Cup'. Raju had to spend a sum of Rs. 3,200 in making it. He, however, expressed satisfaction at his creation.
According to Raju, the replica was an extension of the best wishes, the country has heaped on the `Indian tigers' which take on the `Kangaroos' in the final.
