Bhujbal apologises

MUMBAI March 20. The Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Chhagan Bhujbal, today apologised in the Assembly for having cited yesterday a document mentioning a PMO official offering the underworld the transfer of certain police officers.

"I am sorry that I mentioned the telephonic talk between film producer Nazim Rizvi and Chhota Shakeel,'' Mr. Bhujbal said after the Opposition Shiv Sena and BJP carried out their threat that they would not allow the House to function unless he apologised.
