New Delhi

Ms. Dikshit distributed over 300 cash prizes worth Rs.3.5 lakhs to best performing depots, depot managers, and best performing drivers and conductors for meeting revenue targets. Congratulating the winners, Ms. Dikshit said the achievements accomplished by the Corporation were merely in a few months and the commitment shown by employees would bring more glory to the organisation. The Delhi Transport Minister, Ajay Maken, said if the management and employees continued to work in the same way, the DTC would soon become a profit-earning organisation. Exhorting employees to continue working with the same zeal, the Minister said Delhiites had been appreciating the improved service by the DTC. The DTC has recorded 100 per cent rise in the ticket earnings and also in the earnings per bus per day. The availability of buses on road too has also shown a considerable increase as the vehicle utilisation per bus per day has increased by a substantial 20 per cent as compared to previous year's results. All this has been achieved due to focussed and collective efforts of the management and employees. Emphasis has also been laid on creative and innovative planning in order to provide improved services to commuters. The improved service of "Mudrika'' and "Outer Mudrika'' has also become very popular among Delhiites. The revival of DTC's tourist service "Delhi Darshan'' and introduction of all-day travel "Green Card'' were some of the other achievements of the Corporation.
