World Cup
John Buchanan, who has coached Australia on its world record test and limited-overs winning streaks, says the World Champions are motivated more by their rivals than records or milestones. The 49-year-old former school teacher led Queensland to its first two Sheffield Shield titles in 1994-95 and 1996-97 before replacing Geoff Marsh as Australia coach in October 1999. His record with the Australian team has been unsurpassed, although he doesn't have a World Cup, yet. "We're looking at the way we're going about the things we want to do batting, bowling and in the field that's important (and) if we can keep doing those, we're pretty sure we'll make life difficult for any opposition."
