Sir, This has reference to M.S.S. Pandian's opinion, "Policing Hinduism" (March 9). Does he mean that burial of children and trampling of women are practices to be encouraged simply because they are done by the lower caste Hindus? Does he mean that all people and organisations, including the NHRC and the outfits standing for children's and women's rights, which have condemned these practices are "brahminical Hindus/rightist Hindus/pseudo-humanists-scientists?" He has attributed the VHP/BJP fervour for cows and others to all Hindus in general, which is unwarranted and motivated.
