SC notice on Shah's plea

NEW DELHI March 10. The Supreme Court today issued notice to the Maharashtra Government on a petition from the film financier, Bharat Shah, seeking discharge in the case of alleged Bollywood nexus with the underworld on the ground that the trial court had erred in framing charges against him.

A Bench, comprising Justice M.B. Shah and Justice Arun Kumar issued the notice and asked the Maharashtra Government to file its reply within four weeks on a special leave petition from Mr. Shah.
