World Cup
Indians in China celebrated as Sachin Tendulkar mercilessly smashed Pakistani bowlers and led India to an exciting victory over their archrivals in Centurion. The Indian community cheered in unison as the men in blue brutally tore apart the famed Pakistani pace attack as they watched the high-voltage encounter live on television at the Indian embassy on Saturday. The Indian embassy in Beijing receives the national channels - Doordarshan National and DD Metro and those living away from the motherland savoured every bit of India's victory. However, Pakistanis living in the Chinese capital could not watch the high-powered duel as the Pakistan embassy did not have access to PTV's main channel that telecasted the match. Though cricket in popular in Hong Kong, a former British colony, the game is yet to take root in the mainland.
