ZP schools urged to improve results

By Our Staff Reporter

NELLORE MARCH 3. The Information Minister, S. Chandramohan Reddy, on Sunday urged the authorities in ZP and municipal high schools to work hard towards improving the Class X results. Addressing a gathering at Bhaktavastala Nagar, on the outskirts of Nellore town after inaugurating a six-room elementary school, he pointed out that residential schools were able to get nearly 95 per cent results and accordingly schools in municipal areas should also compete with them.

He also requested teachers to prove that they were not inferior to their private sector counterparts.

He said under the DFID scheme Rs. 40 lakhs would be spent in Bhaktavastala Nagar for various developmental works. A community hall would be built at a cost of Rs. 35 lakhs. To solve the drinking water problem, a protected water scheme was under progress at a cost of Rs. 7.90 crores in the area.
