Journalist dead

Bhubaneswar Feb. 25. N. Ramdas, Special Correspondent of The Hindu in Bhubaneswar, passed away at Tirupati today. He was 44 and is survived by wife and son.

Mr. Ramdas, who was on a pilgrimage to Tirupati, had suffered a stroke on Sunday and was admitted to a local hospital. The end came at 6.30 p.m. today and the cremation will take place in Tirupathi tomorrow.

Mr. Ramdas joined The Hindu in 1988. His father, N.R. Swami, also worked as a Correspondent of The Hindu in Bhubaneswar. The Orissa Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, has condoled the death of Mr. Ramdas.
