7 killed in gang rivalry

PATNA FEB. 13. Gang rivalry over illegal sand mining operations left seven Dalit and backward caste labourers dead in two villages of Nawada district last night. Police said a gang having connections with Akhilesh Singh, husband of the Independent MLA, Aruna Devi, in a bid to kill Ashok Mahto, another gang leader, attacked two villages, Dariapur and Rampur-Ganeshnagar.
