LPG cylinder deposit cut

NEW DELHI FEB. 13. The Government has decided to reduce the security deposit on LPG cylinders, weighing 14.2 kg, by Rs. 50 with effect from March 1 this year. This will bring the security to Rs. 650 a cylinder against Rs. 700 at present.

The cut in the security deposit on the domestic LPG cylinders is due to the introduction of the tender system in the year 2000 for procuring the cylinders.
