India won't mediate in U.S.-Iraq row: PM

By Our Special Correspondent

BANGALORE FEB. 13. India will not mediate in the running feud between Iraq and the United States, the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, has said.

On arrival at the Bangalore airport to participate in several public functions in Karnataka, he told presspersons that India would, however, do its best to prevent a war.

Asked about the Ram temple issue, Mr. Vajpayee said the Centre would strictly go by the decision of the court. "The matter is pending before the court and I will not comment on the case."
