MACTA, AMMA support distributors

By Our Staff Reporter

KOCHI FEB.13. With the Malayalam Cine Technicians Association (MACTA) and Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), endorsing the demands put forward by the Kerala Film Distributors Association in its pending standoff with exhibitors, the film crisis took a new turn.

After a joint meeting with the Distributors Association and Kerala Film Producers Association here on Wednesday, the representatives of MACTA and AMMA came to the conclusion that the distributors' demands were reasonable. Offering to work as mediators in the issue, MACTA and AMMA have put forward a deadline of five days within which to find an amicable solution. The Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation, one of the two organisations representing the theatre owners in the State, has been informed of this decision.
