Kerala
By Our Special Correspondent
The Chief Minister, A. K. Antony, during his briefing on the Cabinet discussions to the media today, said Kerala's desire was to find an amicable solution to the Cauvery river water dispute. Though 20 per cent of the Cauvery waters emanated from Kerala, the State was not receiving even a nominal share of what it legitimately deserved, he added. ``We want good relations with our neighbouring States. We have several points of disputes on the river water issue. But, we believe in settling them through discussions,'' he said. Mr. Antony said an all-party meeting would also be held on March 4 to discuss matters concerning the follow-up action on the Global Investor Meet, conducted in Kochi last month. He said the Government would also take into confidence all political parties on the stand the State should take on the issue of Pakistan citizens domiciled in the State. "They are all aged people born in the State who had taken Pakistan citizenship at the time of the Partition. There is a humanitarian aspect (in forcing them out of the country),'' he said.
