Southern Railway to operate 568 summer specials

CHENNAI Feb. 13. This summer, the Southern Railway will operate 568 special trains, including two pairs of daily trains, four bi-weekly and eight weekly specials. Advance reservation will commence from February 14.

The Chennai Central - Palakkad bi-weekly, operated via Coimbatore, will leave Chennai at 8-30 p.m. and reach Palakkad at 6-25 a.m. the next day. It will be operated on Mondays and Fridays from April 11 to June 6. In the return direction, the train will leave at 10-30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Sundays from April 13 to June 8 and arrive here at 8-15 a.m. the next day.

The Chennai Central - Thiruvananthapuram special, via Kottayam, will leave Chennai at 9-15 p.m. and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 4 p.m. the next day. It will be operated on Tuesdays and Fridays from April 11 to June 6. In the return direction, the train will leave at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays from April 12 to June 7 and arrive Chennai at 2 p.m. the next day.

The Chennai Central - Jodhpur weekly will leave Chennai at 8 a.m. on Mondays from April 7 to June 23 and reach Jodhpur at 2-10 p.m. on Wednesdays. In the return direction, it will leave at 9-15 p.m. on Wednesdays from April 9 to June 25 and reach Chennai at 4-15 a.m. on Saturdays.

The Chennai Central - Ajmer weekly will leave Chennai at 3.30 p.m. on Thursdays from April 10 to June 26 and reach Ajmer at 12-15 p.m. on Saturdays. In the return direction, it will leave at 9 p.m. on Saturdays from April 12 to June 28 and reach Chennai at 7-15 p.m. on Mondays.

The Chennai Central - Dadar weekly will leave Chennai at 12-30 p.m. on Saturdays from April 12 to June 28 and reach Dadar at 4-25 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, the train leaves at 11-45 p.m. on Sundays from April 13 to June 29 and arrive Chennai at 4-25 a.m. on Tuesdays.

The Chennai Central - Bangalore weekly will leave Chennai at 11-15 p.m. on Fridays from April 11 to June 27 and reach Bangalore at 6-50 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the train will leave at 11-30 p.m. on Sundays from April 13 to June 29 and reach Chennai at 8 a.m. the next day.

The Chennai Central - Sathya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam weekly will leave Chennai at 5-30 p.m. on Wednesdays from April 16 to June 4 and reach Prashanthi Nilayam at 4 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the train will leave at 9-30 p.m. on Thursdays from April 17 to June 5 and reach Chennai at 8 a.m. the next day.

The Chennai Egmore - Nagercoil biweekly will leave Egmore at 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays from April 13 to June 8 and reach Nagercoil at 12.30 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, the train will leave at 3-30 p.m. on Fridays and Mondays from April 14 to June 9, and reach at 6-30 a.m. the next day.

The Bangalore - Madurai weekly, operated via Hosur, will leave Bangalore at 7-15 p.m. on Sundays from April 13 to June 8 and reach Madurai at 7-05 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the train will leave at 9-45 p.m. on Mondays from April 14 to June 9 and arrive Bangalore at 7-55 a.m. the next day.
