Karnataka-Bangalore
By Our Special Correspondent
Addressing presspersons after a meeting with the delegation here on Thursday, the minister said the delegation was exploring investment opportunities in areas of urban development projects. Issues related to power, road, and water projects had been discussed with the 10-member delegation, he said. The delegation had invited him to Canada to hold discussions in detail, Mr. Chandre Gowda said. To a question on the Maharashtra Government's decision to approach the Supreme Court to resolve the border row with the State, the minister said Maharashtra had every right to take the issue to the court. But the State Government was ready to settle the row as per the Mahajan Commission recommendations, he said. Stating that the objective of taking the issue to the court was to keep the border issue alive, Mr. Chandre Gowda said the Maharashtra Ekikaran Samithi (MES), which had been supporting the cause of Marathis, had no mass base now.
