Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
By Our Staff Reporter
Later speaking to newsmen, Mr. Reddy said that he would make efforts to improve service delivery standards under his jurisdiction. Preparing a vision document of five years for the new Commissionerate would be his top priority so that effective policing could be delivered taking all the challenges into account. Each police station would also have a specific plan prepared every year for better policing. The Commissioner favoured usage of modern technology for providing better and expeditious service and said that effectiveness of the organisation would be increased by imparting new skills to his men. He said the gap between police officers and the common man would be plugged using modern gadgets and this would go long way in infusing confidence among the people. Stating that he is yet to study the problems in detail, he however made it clear that land grabbers would be dealt with sternly. He said people can call on his cell 94400-50333 if they had any grievances or if they felt that their complaints were not being taken seriously. Mr. Reddy, a B.Tech gold medallist from REC, Warangal, has served in various capacities since joining the police force in 1986 and won appreciation for his abilities in dealing with left-wing extremism and containing factionalism.
