By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD Feb. 12. In a curious case, the owner of a computer training institute in Habsiguda allegedly committed theft from the house of his own employee after surreptitiously taking the keys from the lady's handbag.

The Musheerabad police, who investigated the theft in the house of Sunita Vijaya, an employee of Arena Multi-media, reportedly found that the owner of the institute, J. Sudhir Kumar, had committed the offence in December last year.

The accused stole about five and a half tola of gold ornaments, cheque books and net cash of Rs. 3,000. He sold the ornaments and converted the cheques into fake pay orders with the help of a computer.

With that money he purchased five mobile phones and eight computer sets including lap top, scanner and other material. The accused, meanwhile, claiming access to a senior police officer assured her that he would get the case solved.

Later, Ms. Sunita lodged a complaint with the Musheerabad police who found that it was her own boss who had committed the theft. The accused was apprehended a few days ago and he was said to have confessed to the offences.

The police recovered gold jewellery and computer equipment worth Rs. 5.5 lakhs at his instance. The Musheerabad inspector P. Ramaseshaiah and his team investigated the case under the guidance of ACP M. Ramesh Babu and supervision of DCP (North) C.V. Anand.
