Traffic curbs for PM's visit today

BANGALORE Feb. 12. The Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, will arrive here on Thursday on a two-day visit to the State. He will open the cable-stayed bridge at K.R.Puram and address a public meeting at the NGEF grounds.

The following traffic diversions will be in place from 6 p.m. on Thursday, until the Prime Minister leaves for Hubli on Friday evening, a police release said.

HTVs and LCVs coming from Tumkur Road, and Bellary Road, towards Hosur Road, will be diverted at the junctions of these roads with Peenya Outer Ring Road, to the ring road towards Kengeri-Mysore Road Ring Road junction-Banashankari-BTM Layout-Silk Board junction, and onto Hosur Road.

HTVs and LCVs in the opposite direction will be diverted at the Silk Board junction to take the same route in reverse direction.

Vehicles from Whitefield Road towards the City will be diverted to Hoody junction towards Sarjapur Road via Graphite India Road-Kundalahalli-Bellandur to join the Madivala check post.

Vehicles from Whitefield Road towards Fraser Town, Hebbal, Bellary Road, and Tumkur Road will be diverted at Katanallur Cross via the O.M.Road, T.C.Palya, Anandapura Junction - R.M.Nagar Junction - Hebbal Ring Road-Peenya Ring Road.

Vehicles from Bellary Road towards Hoskote and Kolar will take the Hebbal Ring Road-R.M.Nagar Ring Road junction via Anandapura Cross-T.C.Palya diversion to join the O.M.Road.

Vehicles from Fraser Town and areas around MEG Centre towards the O.M.Road via Murphy Road will be diverted at Kensington Oval Junction towards Trinity Circle. Vehicles from the Rajbhavan area via Cubbon Park, St. Mark's Road, K.R.Road Junction, towards O.M.Road via Ulsoor Road will be diverted at Manipal Centre towards Webb's Junction. Vehicles from Dhobhi Ghat C Street area towards Ulsoor Road, on Dickenson Road, will be directed towards Webb's Junction. No vehicles will be allowed on Ulsoor Road.

Vehicles from Mahatma Gandhi Road, ASC Centre, and areas around Richmond Road going towards O.M.Road via Murphy Road, will not be allowed beyond Trinity Circle. Vehicles coming from Indiranagar towards O.M.Road will not be allowed beyond the Adarsha cinema junction.

Vehicles from areas around the ASC Centre and Domlur on Airport Road, towards Varthur, ITPL, and Whitefield and Hoskote will have to take the Indiranagar 100 feet Road-Koramangala Ring Road-Sarjapur Road, Varthur Road.

No vehicles will be allowed towards the Benniganahalli flyover at the R.M.Nagar Ring Road junction. No vehicles will be on O.M.Road (K.R.Puram old railway bridge), at the Outer Ring Road and Whitefield Road.

Parking for people attending the public meeting will be behind the C.D.DotCom grounds.
