Tamil Nadu
By A. V. Ragunathan
The realisation at the dam today was only 706 cusecs, while it was 845 on Tuesday. Going by Central Water Commission figures, Karnataka released about 7,000 cusecs (2,000 from the Krishnaraja Sagar reservoir and 5,000 from the Kabini reservoir). But they do not tally with the figures available at Mettur. The level in the dam stood at 27.580 feet (maximum 120 feet) and capacity at 6.596 tmcft.
