Polaris ties up with Deutsche Leasing

By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI FEB. 12. Polaris Software has entered into an agreement with Deutsche Leasing, Germany's leading leasing company for movable assets, to implement Orbipack products. The components from Orbi suite will be implemented initially as part of the deal at Deutsche Investitions Finanz Bank Gmbh, a member bank in the Deutsche Leasing Group.

Addressing a press conference here today, the Chairman and Managing Director, Polaris Software Lab, Arun Jain, said the 1.8 million euro deal was one of the major product wins for the Orbipack framework post merger and was an indication of the business potential of Intellectual Property Rights that Polaris acquired through the merger of OrbiTech Solutions. Mr. Jain said the European market presented huge opportunities in the banking and insurance product space. The partnership with Deutsche Leasing, would enhance its understanding of operational intricacies in a high-potential market. The CMD said the company would have one client in each market to start with and expand further over a period.

The Member of Deutsche Leasing Board of Management responsible for IT, Philippe De Geyter, said the leasing company was aware of the advantages offered by the product range. The fact that Polaris was having an office in Germany and also understood the local business requirements also gave comfort in initiating the strategic partnership.
