By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI Feb. 12. While the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, will throw open to the public tomorrow the new cable-stayed bridge built at a cost of Rs. 52.60 crores on the NH-4 near Bangalore, two projects of widening the bypass roads in Salem and Karur in Tamil Nadu will be inaugurated on February 14.

Announcing this the Minister of State (independent charge) for Road Transport and Highways, B. C. Khanduri, said today that the bridge was built at Krishnarajpuram near Bangalore.

Describing it as a "unique" bridge with a length of 230 metres, he said it would span the huge Kishnarajapuram railway yard on the busy Bangalore-Kolar-Chennai section of the NH4.
