Letters to the Editor
Sir, The Sants and the Kanchi Sankaracharya have protested pollution of the Ganga and refused to take a dip at Triveni Sangam. At last, our custodians of dharma have woken up to the problem. The President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, had called for a water purity and management strategy. The Hindutva votaries should come forward to take up the cleaning of Ganga and environment. The VHP and the Shiva Sena should form a ``Ganga Shudhi Sena'' and clean the river.
Dhirendra Sharma,
