Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to your Editorial `The Columbia mystery' (Feb. 10). NASA could have arranged an online inspection of the shuttle by sending an astronaut to spacewalk and inspect the damaged left wing. If the damage was bad, they could have docked with the International Space Station (ISS), provided enough fuel and sent another shuttle to rescue the crew. They neglected the wing damage and said that it was usual to loose some tiles. Naming an existing satellite, Metsat, after Kalpana is not enough. The Chandipur launch facility should be renamed Kalpana.
P.R. Chandramohan,
