3 bills passed without discussion

CHENNAI Jan. 31 . In the absence of the main Opposition parties, the DMK, the Congress, the PMK, the CPI(M) and the CPI, three Bills were passed without discussion in the Assembly today.

The Bill to further amend the Tamil Nadu Entertainment Tax Act, 1939, the Bill to further amend the Tamil Nadu Tax on Luxuries Act, 1981, and the Tamil Nadu Groundwater (Development and Management) Bill, 2003 were passed in the session which lasted six minutes.

After this, the House was adjourned sine die.
