Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
According to K. Srinivas Rao, City Planner, who supervised the demolition, the personnel pulled down eight shops, a hotel and the watchman's room, constructed in the parking area of a complex near Parklane Hotel. The shops constituted `Singapore bazar' in the basement. Similarly, the personnel pulled down 14 columns--eight on the ground floor of a premises at Tarnaka and six columns on the third floor of a commercial complex at Bapu Bagh, P.G.Road. The builder had permission only for two floors. Mr. Rao said the columns on the premises at Tarnaka were unauthorised.
