Rhodes scholarship for NALSAR student

HYDERABAD Jan. 11. Aarthi Anand S., a final year student of B.A.B.L(Hons) degree programme in the NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, has won the Rhodes scholarship for the year 2003.

The international fellowship would be for two years of study at the University of Oxford with the possibility of a renewal for a third year. Aarthi is one of the six candidates selected from India. Aarthi plans to do her Master's degree in Law with emphasis on Intellectual Property Rights at Oxford University, UK, the release added.

HCU extends date

The University of Hyderabad (HCU) has extended the submission of applications for various one-year post-graduate diploma programmes under its distance mode up to January 31.

Application forms were available at the Centre for Distance Education, the University of Hyderabad, Gachibowli, and at selected post offices in the State. The requests for application by post accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs.200, drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Hyderabad, payable at Hyderabad, be sent to the Assistant Registrar, DE, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad-500 046.
