The Principal Secretary, Home Department, Bharath Chandra, the DGP, P. Ramulu, the DG, Highway Authority, S.R. Sukumara, the Commisisoner of Police, M.V. Krishna Rao, the Commissioner, Transport, Giridhar, the Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, D.T. Naik among others attended the meeting convened by the Home Minister in view of the spurt in road accidents, on Saturday. The meeting resolved to make the DG, Highway Authority, the Coordinator for various departments involved to reduce road accidents, provide jeeps and motorcycles exclusively for traffic and highway patrolling to each district, provision of vehicles as per the requirement of each district, latest communication equipment and first aid to monitor and regulate traffic.
