Be a role model, teachers told

Pondicherry, Jan. 11. The Principal of the Petit Seminaire HSS, S. Antonisamy, has said teachers should unearth talents of students and become role models.

Addressing a meeting of school correspondents and representatives of private schools here on Friday during the launch of `Adventure Series' (termwise textbooks) published by the Macmillan India for primary classes, the Principal said emphasis should be on child-centred play way system. He welcomed the company's attempt to reduce the burden on the back of children by publishing the series. V. Jegannathan, correspondent, Bala Vihar Group of Schools, Panruti, released the term-wise textbooks and Mr. Antonisamy received first copies.
