Hyderabad: Jan.11. Autorickshaw drivers will also be brought under the coverage of ESI hospitals soon, announced the Labour Minister, P. Babu Mohan. Speaking after inaugurating a yoga training camp for doctors and paramedical staff in the ESI Hospital at Nacharam here today, the Minister said, the ESI hospitals in the State were covering 7 lakh workers and 30 lakh of their family members. Mr. Babu Mohan said they were modernising ESI hospitals at a cost of Rs. 11 crores and efforts were on to make them competitors of the ones in the corporate sector with high-tech facilities. Already, blueprints worth Rs. 4 crores had been prepared by the State Government for these hospitals. Officials from the State Government's Yogadhyayana Parishad and ESI Corporation were present.
