Iran, India to sign MoU on manpower training

Dubai Jan. 11. India and Iran will sign a memorandum of understanding for joint training of manpower during the visit of the Iranian President, Mohammed Khatami to New Delhi as the Chief Guest at the Republic Day function.

The minutes relating to the MoU were signed in Teheran today by the Union Minister for Labour, Sahib Singh Verma and his counterpart, Syed Safdar Hosseini, Indian embassy officials said. The MoU provides for exchange of experts and officials between the two countries. Mr. Verma also visited a vocational training institute at Kharaj, close to Teheran. — PTI
