Kerala-Thiruvananthapuram
By Our Staff Reporter
The fracture was reportedly found by a local girl around 9 a.m. while she was walking along the side of the track and she immediately alerted the locals. They stopped the train which was approaching from the Nagercoil side by waving the red flag. Railway sources said the crack detected was on the welded portion of the railway track and ruled out any sabotage. The train, which was detained for over 45 minutes, resumed the journey after the defect was rectified by the railway staff.
