In a press release, the Union Health Ministry said that what was found was only some polio-like antibodies and they could have been due to cross reaction with some other viruses. A total of nine serum samples and one brain specimen were tested. While no antibodies for the polio virus were isolated, polio-like antibodies were detected in four of the samples.Further studies were on to detect the virus that caused them, it added.
