Meet to discuss operations against brigand

BANGALORE Jan. 1. The Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna, told presspersons here today that a meeting of high-level officials would be held in Delhi on Thursday to discuss operations to nab Veerappan.

Mr. Krishna said the Director-General of Police, Karnataka, T. Madiyal, the Additional Chief Secretary, Adhip Choudhury, and other senior officials would be meeting the Joint Secretary in the Union Home Ministry in Delhi. Senior officials from Tamil Nadu would also be participating in the meeting.

Mr. Krishna said the Opposition parties should eschew politics and support anti-Veerappan operations.
