By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD JAN. 1. Passengers on Hyderabad-Purna passenger train had a providential escape when a pair of wheels of the engine came off on Wednesday. None was injured in the accident.

According to South Central Railway officials, the accident occurred on the single line broad gauge of Parli-Vikarabad section around 5.05 p.m. "The front two wheels of the loco came off between Ghatnandur and Parli in Maharashtra. The engine derailed but the coaches remained on the tracks,'' an official said.

The SCR was making arrangements to change the engine and complete the remaining lap of train's journey.
