Coast Gaurd clarifies

B. Ranjan, Deputy Commandant, Coast Guard, Chennai, writes:

The news "Coast Guard vessel sinks" (Jan. 1) is wrong as no vessel by name "Hariprasad" is with the Coast Guard. This probably was a fishing boat used for joint coastal patrolling by local police, the Customs and the Navy in and around the Gujarat Coast which has sunk.
