Azhar freed

MULTAN Dec. 29 . Pakistani police complied today with a controversial court order to free Maulana Masood Azhar, leader of the Jaish-e-Mohammed, from house arrest by withdrawing police guards placed around his home over one year ago.

Azhar quickly left his home for an unknown place, police said.
