Extradition request

New Delhi Dec. 22. Notwithstanding the deportation of underworld don, Anees Ibrahim, by Dubai authorities to Pakistan, the CBI has sent its extradition request, highlighting his role as one of the main conspirators of the 1993 Bombay bomb blasts.

The request, sent by the agency after receiving a formal communication from the Abu Dhabi Interpol, said Anees had participated in the meetings held at the ``White House'' residence of his brother and underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim, in December 1992 in Dubai.
