Kolkata fire: 25 rescued

Kolkata Dec. 21. A major blaze gutted three massive buildings housing shops, godowns and flats in the central business district of Burrabazar here with 25 persons trapped inside receiving minor burns before being rescued by the fire brigade today.

The Fire Services Director-General, Balkar Singh, overseeing the operations, told PTI ``our first priority was to rescue people trapped inside and we managed to get 25 of them out safely with minor injuries.''
