Counting today

AHMEDABAD DEC. 14 . Counting of votes in the Gujarat Assembly elections, which saw a keen contest between the BJP and the Congress, begins tomorrow and all results are expected by afternoon.

In all, 181 Assembly constituencies went to the polls on December 12, recording a 61.52 per cent voting.

Meanwhile, an estimated 68 per cent vote was registered during re-poll in 15 booths of seven Assembly constituencies today.

Polling in these constituencies was marred on December 12 by incidents of violence. Re-poll was held in six booths of Anand, three of Sojitra (ST), two in Borsad and one each of Dhrangadhra, Morbi, Dholka and Vagdod.
