Assembly session from today

BHUBANESWAR DEC. 1. The winter session of the Orissa Assembly, which begins here tomorrow, is likely to be stormy with the Opposition determined to raise issues such as rise in naxalite attacks, prevailing drought situation, alleged starvation deaths and the law and order problem.

The session will also be crucial for the Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, in view of the increasing dissidence in his own party— the Biju Janata Dal.
