TTDC package for tourists from north

NEW DELHI DEC. 1. To meet the growing demand of tourists from North India, the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) has tied up with the Indian Rail Catering and Tourism Corporation for conducting value-added package tours, including rail-cum-road packages.

The TTDC will provide the facilities of rail booking, hotel accommodation and road travel in luxury coaches covering pilgrim centres, hill stations and beach resorts. The special 10-day package tour organised for the first time for Delhi tourists covers the pilgrim centres and pleasure spots such as Kodaikanal. The return package costs Rs. 5,900 for an adult sharing a double room in non-A/C accommodation and Rs. 5,400 a child aged between 5 to 12 years.

The tour will cover overnight stay at Pondicherry, Thanjavur, Rameswaram, Kanyakumari, Madurai, Kodaikanal, Tiruchi, Mamallapuram and Chennai. The trip from Delhi will begin on December 25 and end on June 5.
