Violinst, T. N. Krishnan, performed the concluding recital held as part of the maestro's birth centenary celebrations. C. V. Narasimhan, former U.N. Under Secretary-General, felicitated Mr. Krishnan, and the violinist and maestro's son, V. Thyagarajan. Mr. Krishnan said the maestro's style of rendition inspired him. The Hamsadhwani secretary, R. Ramachandran, said the Union Cultural Ministry had granted Rs. 1 lakh for the celebrations.
