Kerala-Thiruvananthapuram
By Our Staff Reporter
The ABVP State secretary, V.Harikrishnan, said in a statement here on Saturday that by granting freedom to the private managements to admit students in the 50 per cent seats in the management quota, the Government was helping the managements of the minority communities to commercialise the education sector. The managements have been given the freedom to collect huge amounts as capitation fees for admission to engineering and medical courses. The entrance examinations being conducted by the managements were making a mockery of the Supreme Court verdict, he said. If there is ambiguity in the court verdict, the Government should approach the court and protect social justice and retain social balance.
