Train halt at Melmaruvathur

CHENNAI NOV. 27. In connection with the `Thaipoosam festival', the Chennai Egmore-Tiruchirapalli-Chennai Egmore Rock Fort Express trains, the Madurai-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Weekly Express, Chennai Egmore-Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Egmore Ananthapuri Express, Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil-Chennai Egmore specials, and Tambaram-Nagercoil-Karaikudi-Tambaram express will stop for a minute at Melmaruvathur from December 6 to January 2, 2003, says a Southern Railway release.

The Southern Railway also announced that due to gauge conversion work between Chennai Beach and Egmore, changes in timings had been effected for select trains from December 1 to January 31, 2003.

The trains are: Tirunelveli-Chennai Egmore Nellai Express, Chennai Egmore-Madurai winter special, Chennai Egmore-Tirunelveli Nellai Express and Vijayawada-Chennai Egmore Jan Shatabdi express.
