CHENNAI NOV. 27. The parents of two persons who were shot at by the police in the city a few days ago, have moved the State Human Rights Commission seeking its intervention.

Taking the complaints on file, the Commission Member, S. Sambandham, has ordered notice to the City Police Commissioner for filing a report by December 19.

In a telegram to the Commission, Dayanidhi said her son, Sura alias Suresh (of Vyasarpadi), was shot dead (in north Chennai a week ago) under mysterious circumstances. She sought a probe into the incident and appropriate action against those responsible for the death.

The police told her that several cases were pending against him.

Later, she was shocked to know that her son was shot at and was injured.
