Indian Railways B, which topped in the qualifying Swiss league continued to hold the top berth with a 130 VPs in six matches played till now. The Railways team played uniformly well and did not lose a single match. Formidable remained at the second spot with 115 VPs followed by Mamaji which had 112 VPs. Monotona from Mumbai stood at the fourth place with 110 VPs followed by the defending champion India Blues which had 109 VPs. Hema Deoras IV, also from Mumbai, remained at the sixth place with 103 VPs. And the next two vital places went to C.V. Rao Vizag and GBA I, each having 102 VPs. The pre-quarterfinal will be of nine Swiss league rounds of which the first eight teams in the order of merit will qualify for the quarterfinal play off.
